Namma PUC is designed for Karnataka Pre-University students (aged 15-18). We adhere to strict data minimization: no behavioral ads, no trackers, and full data isolation.
1. Introduction
Namma PUC ("we", "our", or "the App") is an educational platform dedicated to Karnataka Pre-University Course (PUC I & II) students. We provide verified syllabus notes, blueprints, and question papers.
Because a substantial portion of our users are under the age of 18, protecting their privacy and personal information is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy details our data collection, usage, and security practices.
2. Information We Collect (Data Minimization)
We only collect information strictly necessary to provide academic curriculum materials:
- Identity & Authentication: Google account display name and email address to authenticate student access and sync study progress.
- Academic Preferences: Academic Year (1st or 2nd PUC), Stream (Science, Commerce, Arts), Medium of instruction (English or Kannada), and enrolled subject choices.
- Reading Progress: The last page read, total pages, and timestamp to support resuming study sessions seamlessly.
3. What We NEVER Collect (Zero Tracking)
To safeguard students and minors:
- NO Biometrics or Government IDs.
- NO Precise Geolocation or GPS tracking.
- NO Access to Phone Contacts, SMS, Photos, Camera, or Microphone.
- NO Behavioral Ad Trackers or Third-Party Data Brokers.
- We never sell, lease, or monetize student data.
4. Cloudflare R2 Content Delivery & Edge Security
All academic documents and PDF notes are hosted on Cloudflare R2 Edge CDN (assets.namma.app). Content is delivered over encrypted HTTPS. No user credentials, authentication tokens, or personal identifiers are passed in CDN download requests.
5. Local Storage Sandboxing
Downloaded PDF study documents are stored exclusively in private, sandboxed app support directories on your device. Other applications installed on the device cannot access or read your downloaded notes.
6. Student & Parental Rights
Students and parents/guardians retain complete control over personal data:
- Clear Cache: You can clear all cached study files instantly via the "Offline Storage" setting.
- Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data via the "Delete Account" button in the Profile tab (or via our Account Deletion Request Portal).
- Academic Profile Switch: You can switch streams, years, and mediums anytime with immediate effect.
7. Compliance with Indian DPDP Act & COPPA
This policy complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) regarding the processing of personal data of children, ensuring no harmful processing, tracking, or targeted advertising is conducted.
